Jin Shin Jyutsu is a complete Physio-philosophy.  I was greatly honored with a request to write to you about this and now feel finally ready to make due on my desire to do so.  But what direction might I be able to give you with a practice that deals with all of life?

For direction let me fittingly write to you about the director, safety energy lock 26.  It is the place of ultimate completion.  It is the final and largest number in the Physio-philosophy of the artless art of being myself.  It is a large and grand number indeed, because safety energy lock 26 creates order out of chaos.

Consider the awesome task of this!  Before the Nobel Prize winner Ilya Prigogene was recognized in 1977 for his discovery of the self-organizing principle in nature, understanding of this was a great secret and mystery.  How could structures that dissipate come into fuller forms of expression?  The whole universe seemed to fall apart all around us, and yet somehow new life is always born.

Now a whole science of chaos and complexity has evolved.  Is this science helping the unsophisticated to organize and simplify their lives?  Do we today experience less stress and more wonder?  Do we enjoy the beauty of the unfoldment of our being into more of who we are?  How wonderful, we have positive answers to these questions.  We have been able to understand complexity through the simplicity of Jin Shin Jyutsu safety energy lock number 26 even before the scientists caught on.

If you wish to understand it, simply hold it and let it teach you.   Safety energy lock (locking the energy of ordering your life safely in the embrace of its 26 essence) 26 is right near the outer edge of your shoulder blades.  You can reach it by taking your hands and placing them under your opposite arms so that your fingers reach the outer edges of your shoulder blades.  Now you know the physical place where 26 resides.

Would you like to experience more complete peace and harmony?  What is the key to the wisdom of safety energy lock number 26?  There are several keys.  The simplest of these is integrity.  I was asked recently in my practice to renounce a principle of my business agreement and of my word.  It masqueraded as a plea for leniency regarding their oversight.  My desire to remain true to my word and agreement was met with so much outrage and derision, that my heart started to beat hard and fast.

Fortunately I stood my ground.  Are principles harsh, unbending, or unkind by being true to the laws of nature?  Is the sun to be faulted by rising perhaps before we are ready to wake up in the morning?  For a while I questioned myself.  Were they true?  Was some part of me at fault?

The more I looked into the space, the more safety energy lock 26 appeared.  If my word does not hold true, what have I got to rely on to bring order to my life?  If I am not principled and scrupulous, how can I handle the chaos that is a part of the creative moment?  How can that chaos be organized and transformed into beauty?  If I do not take care of myself, how can I experience perfect harmony?  If I am not willing to open my eyes in the morning and look at life with the realization of its full splendor and awe, how can I be happy?  I trust you are getting a feel for the power of 26.

It is a magical number that reduces to safety energy lock number 8 (the digits 2+6=8).  As above, so it is below.  As below, so it is above.   As life is beautifully simple, so it is wondrously complex.  As life is intricately complex, so it is wondrously simple.  Be true to yourself and rejoice!  In the simplicity of our honesty are all the answers to the complex questions of life.  Avoid laissez-faire attitudes that cover up the key to your life's happiness.  Pay attention to the intricacies of each moment with the simplicity of a child's open-eyed wonder.  Then you find the meaning of safety energy lock 26.  Then you find beauty and wonder.  Feel gratitude, the one great attitude in the center of your being.

Reflections about the confrontation I mentioned to you, of how to do better, were still with me from the previous day as I woke up.  Would you believe, a preacher was reading Psalm 26 on the radio as my alarm clock went off that morning!  How precise God's creation is and how blessed I was to be greeted by number 26 once more.  The message was a fragrant scent at the beginning of another beautiful day.  I invite you to read it.  Perhaps you will feel as pleasantly surprised and uplifted as I was.

I feel blessed to know the mysteries of Jin Shin Jyutsu, to be reminded so beautifully of it in the morning.  There is no such thing as chance that orders chaos.***  Life is simply beautiful.  Be gentle with yourself!  Give yourself a "26" hug in the morning and be moved deeply!

Now scientists see the possibility that a hidden reality of "Pseudo Objects" orders chaos. If they can prove it, I have a haunch according to my model of understanding, that they will find the pseudo objects are still quantifiable not only by the strength of their connection, what I call integrity, but also by the nature in which they hide their identity from themselves or rather their outcome, random yet not random, what I call the ethics of creation. Self-organized criticality is creativity in my vocabulary. The strength of connection, integrity, both in a moral and a literal sense, I will define as the degree of tension of opposites.  This can also be described as the angularity of connection.  Integrity is an expression of pivotalness as in the shoulders of the human being, flexible yet joined.  The greatest novelty as an indicator of creativity happens at the most tenuous connection, numbers very close to zero. Paradoxically then I suspect that the weak connections (remembering that what is connecting does not need to be defined) are the most impactful in the results achieved by their random and inversely random stimulation.  The ethics of this integrity I see as the variability within the coherence value of someone's actions.  Without coherence variability has no meaning.  Without variability coherence is without value.  Ethics as a commitment to oneself at its profoundest is pure self-reference.
