Be prepared and live fully
Do not wait till it is a matter of sink or swim!
A little preparation may be worth your while, if not your life.
A Few Words On Preparedness
Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art... It has
no
survival value; rather it is one of those things that give value
to
survival.
- C.S.Lewis
Preparedness is
not survival. Survival is already happening. You have survived or continued
to live until today. You have done so probably within an infrastructure
of your society.
When I talk about
preparedness then, I refer to the preparation necessary to retain one's
ability to live, where one's infrastructure, one's normal support system
brakes down.
Often, when I talk
to people, they have an idea of how this support system may fail. For example,
they may think that an earthquake might come. They may have an idea how
to handle the first 72 hours after such an event by preparing somewhat
for this. This is not good preparedness in my view. What if a flood comes
instead?
Good preparation
is an ongoing process of refining an alternative support system that accomodates
multiple varying scenarios and includes contingency- and backup planning.
To this end I will present material here for you and your loved ones.
Furthermore, two
people can do more than one, and a prepared group of individuals can really
help each member out in the event of some disaster, and actually even during
normal living. Thus, if you are interested to learn with me and become
part of a group of prepared friends, please e-mail me, and I will get back
to you when I am ready to form a team of helpers.
I hope, you will
find this page helpful. Your kind comments and questions are welcome.
