When the heart is flooded with love there is no room in it for fear, for doubt, for hesitation. And it is this lack of fear that makes for the dance. When each partner loves so completely that he [sic] has forgotten to ask himself whether he is loved in return; when he only knows that he loves and is moving to music--- then, and then only are two people able to dance perfectly in tune to the same rhythm.

Autumn

Autumn, --
the briskness of the air,
warm homes,
coolness outside fresh, lively, envigorating,
curtains, cushions inside feeling soft.
Then sweet, anguished sounds of violin and Koto
filling the halls of lovely homes,
where Japanese girls are unknown queens.

Now a hushing wind quietly initiating inward probing,
contemplatives studying the loss of life,
choires beginning to echo in hollow spaces
where He finds room,
spirit nearing a blue golden summer of soul,
autumn leaves showing ruby golden colours of devotion.
Rustling in the wind millions fly to rest peacefully
on the cold, dead ground.

Tao, the key to successful relationship

The Tao has three treasures.
Hold and keep them always:
The first is universal love.
The next is not to be wasteful.
The third is humility.

In addition to the wisdom above, I have found successful and happy relationships by deeply reflecting on the meaning of the following quote from the Tao Te Ching, Chapter 57:

The more taboos,

The more miserable the people.

I reflect on the essence of relationships by exploring the forms of relationships that may lend themselves to the fullest expression of love. Perhaps this means stepping outside of accepted norms. Perhaps it means embracing conventional ideas about relationships from a new perspective.
